Vionic group is giving back through its charitable program, Vionic Supports, announcing its sponsorship of San Francisco’s Avon 39 Walk to End Breast Cancer on July 23-24.
The podiatrist-designed footwear brand has partnered with Avon for the second year in a row, and will be gifting 2,000 walkers with free, limited-edition supportive Beach Noosa flip-flops. Last year, the company donated 1,000 pairs of its best-selling Relax slippers.
Thousands of participants will walk 39.3 miles over the course of two days in an effort to raise funds for breast cancer treatment and research. In addition to the sizeable donation of product, four Vionic group employees will be participating in the walk and have raised over $7,000 in donations to support the cause.
“We are so happy to be passionately supporting the Avon 39 Walk to End Breast Cancer for the second year in a row,” says Bruce Campbell, Vionic Group chief operating officer. “All of us have been or will be touched by cancer in our lifetime, whether it be in person or through a family, friend or colleague. The cause and this event are so profoundly connected with Vionic’s mantra to ‘Walk. Move. Live.’”
