Wolverine 1000 Mile is releasing a collection of quintessential fall boots. The Michigan-based brand captures the colors of the state’s landscape in the new Wolverine Fall Colors Collection.
Designed with details offering subtle nods to autumn, the line boasts three Original 1000 Mile boots in Maple, Chestnut and Oak colorways. The limited-edition boots are made in Michigan using Wolverine’s time-tested Goodyear Welt construction.
“This collection brings together the natural textures and colors that are introduced when the fall season hits,” said Carrie Hill, Wolverine senior design manager. “We were heavily influenced by the hues surrounding us in Michigan, the quintessential state to be in when you want to be exposed to Mother Nature’s warm palette. We selected a rugged Horween leather that mimicked a leaf-like textured surface, as well as burnt-orange hues that carry a red-cast reflecting peak colors in fall.”
The Maple boot features Horween Rambler leather in cognac, which has unique leaf-like texture, along with soft leather lining, taslan laces, and a Vibram rubber tap outsole for an all-around rugged fall boot.
The Chestnut boot is made with Horween Cambridge leather, an extremely smooth, tight-grain leather that is 100 percent vegetable tanned using many of the same extracts and processes as the company’s genuine shell cordovan leather. The boot features a traditional stacked leather outsole and leather rawhide laces that complement the fully lined chestnut leather upper.
The Oak boot is made with Horween Oak La Salle leather, which is subtly pebbled and ultra soft, and features a contrasting tongue and heel along with a slim Vibram tap to maintain the Original boot’s classic silhouette.
The collection will be available beginning Oct. 1 at wolverine.com for $365 to $400.
