Zappos announced its third annual ‘Home for the Pawlidayz’ campaign with the North Shore Animal League America, taking place from Black Friday throughout the weekend.
As a part of the company’s charitable branch, Zappos for Good, the e-tailer has helped facilitate 18,000 pet adoptions in the last two years, with a goal of reaching 25,000 with this year’s ‘Home for the Pawlidayz’ event.
“The best kind of presents around the holidays often don’t fit into a box… they greet you at the front door,” said Steven Bautista, head of charity at Zappos. “At Zappos we love gifts that keep on giving and memories that last, and our furry friends are just that.”
This year, Zappos shakes things up by adding adoption days every Friday from August through November, in 36 cities across the U.S. This is a step up from the past one-weekend event, allowing more time for adoptions.
The company will also be sponsoring pet adoptions at local animal shelters through Jewel’s Handmade Holiday Tour, featuring the Grammy-nominated musician singing her top holiday classics. The tour begins Nov. 24 in Las Vegas, stopping in Denver, San Diego, Milwaukee and more cities.
