Zappos Hits the Road to Meet Consumers

When it’s deliver-or-die, supply chains become the lifeblood of a company. To that end, the fashion industry has embraced technology to navigate today’s hyper-complicated supply chain, with myriad solutions shaping the first, middle and last mile. Call it Sourcing 2.0.

Online shoe retailer Zappos announced its year-long ‘Friends with Benefits Road Show,’ in an effort to reach out and thank customers, Wednesday.

After the company spent the holidays giving back to animals through their second-annual ‘Home for the Pawlidays’ event, Zappos continues to make an effort to connect with communities, humans and furry friends.

The road show will make stops in select cities across the country, featuring unique merchandise, rewards and an eclectic mix of events to create a memorable experience for consumers.

“At Zappos.com, our customers mean the world to us, so we’re hitting the road with our ‘Friends with Benefits’ tour to celebrate and thank them in person,” said Kristin Richmer, senior brand marketing manager. “We want to shake their hands, give them really big high fives and meet their friends—delivering happiness and memorable experiences along the way.”

In an attempt to reach out to as many ‘friends’ as possible, the road show will hit cities big and small. The tour begins in Austin, Texas, on Jan. 27-29 with a free event that will include local food vendors, happy hour, pet adoption and the opportunity to meet with fashion bloggers for style tips.
