More than 130 people stood in line at the Manhattan flagship by 10 a.m. to check out the initial release of the Yeezy Gap Engineered by Balenciaga collection in person for the first time.
At the Gap store entrance, employees were adorned with all-black merchandise from the collection, including items such as the 3/4 Sleeve tee, the No Seam tee and the women’s Long Sleeve Second Skin.
Shoppers lined past the Old Navy store down to the next block, with some waiting in line for more than an hour before entry.

The hype for the collection was so large that the line extended all the way past the McDonald’s located one block north of the store’s entrance.

Visitors to the store could play the brand’s new mobile game on large-size screens.
The store stripped down the experience according to Ye and Demna’s “utilitarian vision.”
Gap reengineered its Times Square flagship with Yeezy Gap’s minimalist bent in mind, featuring the dove motif throughout.
Yeezy Gap is taking over the flagship for an undetermined period of time.
