Performance fabric brand Sunbrella makes its entrance into the residential window treatment category with its new Sunbrella Window Collection.
The ready-to-ship, ready-to-hang drapes come in two lengths—84 and 96 inches— as well as 27 colors and five patterns. Most of the drapery styles have a three-in-one construction that allows them to be hung using a rod pocket, back tab or clip rings, or a grommet option.
“We’re thrilled to introduce beautiful, life-proof finished drapery products to consumers for the first time with the quality and innovation that people expect from Sunbrella,” said Sean Martin, vice president and general manager of window treatments at Sunbrella. “The Sunbrella Window Collection complements our existing fabrics, offering consumers style and premium performance in ready-to-hang drapery products.”
The line includes a number of styles, including the Durant light-filtering three-in-one made with a plain weave fabric, the Marx light-filtering grommet curtain with a basketweave texture, the Lucena light-filtering three-in-one made with a loopy boucle yarn, the Taylor light-filtering three-in-one made of a textured fabric that mimics the look of silk, and the Lina sheer three-in-one curtain, which features a touch of sheen and can be layered.
The Sunbrella Window Collection earned GreenGuard Gold certification for reduced emissions, and it also boasts the fade-proof color and bleach-cleanability that has made the company’s fabrics popular for outdoor furnishings and accessories. While outdoor remains a priority for the brand, Sunbrella has made a major push into the interior market over the past decade, significantly expanding its upholstery lines for indoor furniture and accessory applications.
Currently, the line is available at Pottery Barn and Frontgate, and Sunbrella plans to expand the collection’s retail presence to Lulu and Georgia, Macy’s, Bloomingdales, AllModern and Birch Lane throughout the year.
