Carole Hochman Bows Out of Carole Hochman Design Group

Rivet's 2020 Denim Circularity report takes a deep dive into how the global denim industry is plotting its circular future amidst a worldwide pandemic.

Carole Hochman, creative director of the Carole Hochman Design Group, specializing in sleepwear and intimates, resigned from her position with the firm that bears her name and will leave it October 31.

“I am looking forward to the next chapter in my career,” said Hochman, the creative dynamo who began designing Christian Dior sleepwear in 1968.

When The Hochman Design Group with estimated revenues of $150 million to $200 million, was sold to Komar in 2010, Ms. Hochman remained with the firm and continued to lead the creative and design team.

Included among the major brands which Ms. Hochman designed for are Oscar de la Renta, Ralph Lauren, Donna Karan and Saks Fifth Avenue.

She began her almost 50-year career at Bergdorf Goodman in 1964 as an intern in the lingerie department.
