Coolcore, maker of Dr. Cool Recovery-On-The-Go and other chemical-free cooling fabric innovations, announced significant international expansion. The company is adding new distributors in Asia, Oceana and Latin America. Strong momentum behind its popular Dr. Cool wrap, which expanded rapidly throughout North America with over 1,000 retail doors in its first six month of being in the market, is driving the expansion.
Kevin McCarthy, Coolcore president and CEO, said, “We continue to establish a new industry standard for chemical-free cooling products. These new distributors, and the markets they represent, are crucial to our global expansion plans, supporting the introduction of Dr. Cool’s new product lines including cooling accessories, an expanded wrap line and sports medicine collection.”
In 2015, the company plans to launch cooling apparel and accessories globally, including shirts and polos, sleeves, towels, headwear, wristbands and headbands.
Coolcore director of marketing Nick Skally said, “As consumers become more sophisticated in their product knowledge, they demand more performance from their apparel and accessory items.” He added, “Our patented, chemical-free textile innovations provide on the go relief and are being very well received across a variety of market segments.”
The Coolcore fabric used in the company’s Dr. Cool lines have earned the it the Hohenstein Institute’s “Innovative Technology” award for “Cooling Power”, becoming the only company globally to receive this honor. Coolcore fabric is also currently a finalist in the Future Material Awards’ “Most Innovative Small Company” category.
