Datacolor, a leading color management solutions company, released an updated version of its smart color matching software for color professionals in the textile industry.
According to the company, Datacolor Match Textile v. 2.0 significantly increases the accuracy of recipe calculation and accelerates the color matching process, resulting in improved productivity and reduced costs for dyehouses.
“Each year, dyehouses have to adapt to increasing textile demands, fabric production, color development requests and expensive lab trials,” Eric Alho, product marketing manager textiles at Datacolor said. “By partnering closely with our dyehouse customers, we made the necessary enhancements with Datacolor Match Textile v. 2.0 to meet the specific needs of the textile industry by improving functionality and supply chain management, while delivering the superior color matching performance Datacolor is known for.”
Datacolor said the new upgrade uses advanced color matching technology along with its Smart Match software to provide superior first-shot matches. It also cuts the time required to create new color recipes in half, allowing for a faster throughput, less raw material consumption and increased time for operators to work on other tasks.
With the updated version, users can transfer dye recipe data throughout the supply chain, simplifying the color development process. The upgrade also comes with an interactive tutorial and tips for the user so they can learn how to operate the software quickly and easily.
