Earlier this year, Fifth & Pacific hired bankers to help it appraise and sell Juicy Couture, the brand famous for emblazoning its logo across the backsides of women all across the world. They finally found a buyer, Authentic Brands Group, which paid $195 million for all its intellectual property assets.
Authentic Brands already owns Hart Schaffner Marx, Judith Leiber, Prince Sport, Marilyn Monroe and Hickey Freeman. It is unclear if Hickey Freeman suit pants will now feature the Juicy Couture logo stitched into the seat.
Rumor has it that Fifth & Pacific still plans to sell Lucky Brand in an effort to channel all its attention on its Kate Spade brand.
