Tesco-owned F&F announced plans to open its first stores in the U.S., another step in its ongoing efforts to establish itself as a major international retailer of fashion at popular prices.
Seven F&F retail stores are scheduled to open this year in eastern U.S. locations, offering men’s, women’s and children’s clothing at affordable pricing. The F&F stores will be partners with its U.S. franchise affiliate Retail Group of America.
Starting with an initial launch near Boston, F&F plans four additional stores in New York, and outlets in Newport, Virginia and Philadelphia.In a statement to the media, Jason Tarry, F&F CEO said, “We’re delighted to be bringing F&F’s range of affordable fashion to customers in the USA this year, including four stores in one of the world’s fashion and shopping capital, New York.We’ve had a really positive response from customers in all of our overseas markets so we’re hoping our American stores prove just as popular.”
F&F’s overseas retailing include stores in Armenia, Georgia, and Kazakhstan. There are more than twenty F&F stores in Saudi Arabia. In accordance with its ambitions to establish a major footprint worldwide, F&F has also opened outlets in Bahrain,China, Czech Republic, Gibraltar, Hungary, Jordan, Malaysia, Poland, Republic of Ireland, Slovakia, South Korea, Switzerland, Thailand, The Philippines, Turkey, UAE and the UK.
Although there are no brick-and-mortar stores as yet in Australia, Canada, New Zealand and South Africa, F&F provides delivery to those countries and some thirty others of online purchases. Tesco launched its first F & F stores in 2001 in the UK and The Republic of Ireland.
