Hyosung to Open New Nylon Production Facility in Vietnam

Hyosung continues to grow its business operations in Asia.

The Korean multinational conglomerate is planning to open a new Mipan nylon manufacturing facility in Vietnam. Located in Nhon Trach, the facility will be in the same vicinity as Hyosung’s Creora spandex and tire core factories.

“We invested in Vietnam as the next step in Hyosung’s global nylon growth strategy and to better serve the Southeast Asian market. The state-of-the-art facility is world class competitive to ensure fast and reliable service in the region,” company president B.S. Park said. “We also intend to meet customer needs for innovation with micro-deniers, recycled, moisture management and other specialty items.”

Ria Stern, Hyosung Textiles global marketing director, said, “As sourcing from Vietnam continues to be important to brands and retailers, we wanted to provide expanded product offerings as we already produce Creora spandex in Vietnam.”

The company also plans to launch its new FreshGear odor neutralizing nylon at the upcoming Outdoor Retailer in Salt Lake City, Utah, Aug. 3-6. Additional materials will also be exhibited at the event, including Mipan Aqua X cool moisture management nylon, Mipan Robic & Robic Air durable nylon, Mipan Regen recycled nylon, Askin UV management polyester, Creora color elastane and Creora black solution elastane.
