This year, Korean Preview New York (KPNY) will join up with NYC Textile Week, New York’s answer to aligning the textile and apparel industry’s shows to best benefit the sector.
KPNY, now in its 20th edition, joins the list as one of the week’s 10 shows, taking place at the Metropolitan Pavilion July 13-14.
“New York leads and forecasts fashion trends, and to be a part of that movement says a lot about Korean Preview in New York and what our exhibitors have to offer to buyers here,” Bryan Cho, deputy director of KOTRA New York and organizer of KPNY, said.
The show this year will highlight functional fabrics that are at once on trend and practical. Nearly 70 percent of South Korea’s leading fabric and textile manufacturers will present collections for Fall/Winter 2017 in five different pavilions: Prints/Findings, Embroidery/Lace, Knits, Functional Fabrics/Synthetic, and Cotton/Linen/Ramie with denim, wool, silk and rayon also featured.
“Exhibitors of KPNY are known for their quality with prices that beat the competition, and I’m certain that individuals in production and procurement, especially those looking for the latest trend materials, are going to walk out of the show with loads of materials from the most reliable suppliers,” Cho said.
