Men’s Wearhouse is a business in transition. The company announced Tuesday that it has named Scott Norris Men’s Wearhouse brand and Moores brand president, and Paul Fitzpatrick president of Jos. A. Bank’s brand. Jim Thorne was named executive vice president of direct sourcing and will be responsible for product development, manufacturing and sourcing. All three will report to the company’s president and chief merchandising officer Mary Beth Blake.
Norris began his career at Men’s Wearhouse as a buyer in 1996 and worked his way up to executive vice president of merchandising for Men’s Wearhouse from 2011 to 2014. Men’s Wearhouse CEO Doug Ewert said Norris’ track record at the company “reflects his skills as a successful merchant.”
Fitzpatrick most recently served as president and chief operating officer of ESP Group Ltd., and previously as the executive vice president and general merchandising manager of men’s and children’s for Macy’s West.
Thorne joined Jos. A. Bank in 1986 and has held various positions at the company, most recently executive vice president merchandising and chief merchandising officer. Ewert said, “Jim has played a major role in growing Jos. A. Bank to a $1 billion brand.”
In September the company announced that Men’s Warehouse same-store sales grew by just 0.7% in the second quarter 2013. Same-store sales for Jos. A. Bank declined 3.7%.
