
Juniper Networks, a leading network innovator, announced Thursday that global athletic giant Nike Inc. has chosen to build a next-generation data center cloud and retail network database with the firm in order to meet the changing needs of its business and customers. Nike plans to use components of Juniper Networks’ MetaFabric system to advance its network orchestration via automation, management and data analytics across all domains.
According to Juniper Networks, MetaFabric accelerates the deployment and delivery of apps within and across multiple data centers. It also provides location-independent coordination and management of devices across multiple sites maximizing data center resources and ROI.
With the help of MetaFabric, Nike hopes to reach many of its current and future business goals. The software will also serve as a foundation for the company’s data centers around the world.
