Shuffle Board: New President at Saks Off 5th, Rent the Runway Names Supply Chain Chief, VF Taps Americas Execs


Saks Off 5th

Hudson’s Bay Company appointed Paige Thomas as president of Saks Off 5th. Thomas, who reports to Helena Foulkes, CEO of HBC, most recently served as executive vice president and general merchandise manager for full price, men’s and kids at Nordstrom Inc.

With this appointment, Marc Metrick will fully focus on his role as president of Saks Fifth Avenue, as planned since he assumed leadership of Saks Off 5th in January 2018. Saks Off 5th is an off-price retailer featuring top designer brands, with more than 100 stores and on HBC’s leading businesses across North America include Saks Fifth Avenue, Hudson’s Bay and Saks Off 5th.

Rent the Runway

Rent the Runway named Brian Donato as chief supply chain officer, effective March 16.

Donato will oversee Rent the Runway’s customer fulfillment operation, including reverse logistics, customer service, warehousing, inventory restoration, transportation, operational excellence and distribution network expansion. He will report to co-founder and CEO Jennifer Hyman.

Rent the Runway also named Mike Roth, former vice president of Amazon’s global customer fulfillment operations and transportation, to its board of directors. Mike Indresano, former senior vice president of Walmart’s e-commerce transportation is also joining Rent the Runway as a senior transportation executive.

Donato joins Rent the Runway from Bowery Farming, where he most recently built the operations team for the New York based start-up. Prior to that, he spent seven years at Amazon, where he held several senior operational roles.

Tailored Brands

Tailored Brands Inc. named Carolyn Pollock as chief marketing officer.

Pollock will report to chief customer officer Carrie Ask and will oversee marketing for all of the company’s retail brands, including Men’s Wearhouse, Jos. A. Bank, Moores Clothing for Men and K&G.

Pollock brings to this role more than 10 years of experience in consulting and interim marketing leadership roles at established companies such as eBay, Dolby and Facebook, as well as leading startups like Thumbtack, Dashlane and One Kings Lane.


VF Corp.

VF Corp. announced key leadership appointments within the VF Americas region.

Travis Campbell, currently general manager (GM), Americas, for The North Face brand, was appointed to the newly created role of president of emerging brands and Americas platforms for VF Corp. Campbell will be responsible for overseeing VF Canada and VF Mexico, as well as the Altra, Eagle Creek, JanSport and Smartwool brands, and Kipling Americas.

Campbell’s appointment is effective March 2. He will report to Steve Murray, executive vice president and group president, Americas, VF Corp.

Tim Bantle, currently GM, Mountain Lifestyle and Urban Exploration at The North Face brand, was appointed GM, VF Canada. He will be responsible for overseeing all brands on VF’s local Canadian platform. Bantle’s appointment is effective March 2, and he will report to Campbell.


Allbirds, a certified B Corp natural material footwear firm, appointed Nancy Green, who is president and chief creative officer of Old Navy, to its board of directors.

Prior to her current role at Old Navy, Green was CEO at Athleta from 2013 to 2019. She also serves on the Gap Foundation board of trustees and the Gap Inc. sustainability board.
