Sean Clarke was hired as the new president and CEO of Asda. His predecessor, Andy Clarke, is retiring from his role after 20-plus years of service with the company. Walmart also named Roger Burnley as the new deputy CEO and chief operating officer of Asda. Walmart Canada’s president and CEO Dirk Van De Berghe will also serve as the regional president for the company’s Asia business, which includes Walmart China and Walmart Japan.
HanesBrands appointed Gerald W. Evans Jr. to CEO and narrowed current chairman and chief executive officer Richard A. Noll’s role to executive chairman. Both moves are part of the company’s latest executive leadership succession plan.
Former Barneys senior fashion director Tomoko Ogura was hired as Vince’s new brand director. The company also appointed former Holt Renfrew vice president of womenswear Terence Bogan as the new senior vice president of retail.
Sustainable Down Source
Caroline Zapf was named as Sustainable Down Source’s new chief sustainability officer. In her previous position as the company’s project manager, Zapf contributed research to DWR-treated down application initiatives.
Nester Hosiery promoted company president Kelly Nester to CEO. She will succeed current CEO and company founder Marty Nester, who will remain chairman of the company’s board of directors.
Rag & Bone
Rag & Bone’s co-chief executive officer David Neville is stepping down from his position and he will remain on the company’s board of directors. Neville’s business partner, Marcus Wainwright, will be Rag & Bone’s new CEO.
SVP of European sales and merchandising Philippa Newman will be promoted to accessories and footwear president. SVP of retail merchandising Michele Chan is also moving up to women’s ready-to-wear president. Newman and Chan will resume their new positions by the end of this year.
Yoox Net-a-Porter Group SpA
Director of people and organization Naomi Hewitt recently resigned from her position. A replacement has not been determined at the moment.
Nike named Craig Zanon as the new VP and general manager of Nike global basketball. His previous leadership roles at Nike include VP, GM of global basketball, GM of U.S. footwear and GM of the Americas. He will replace Michael Jackson who resigned from the company.
NYDJ filled its chief executive officer position with former Levi Strauss & Company chief technology officer Lisa Collier. She succeeds Robert C. Skinner, Jr., who previously served as the company’s president and CEO.
Klaus Huneke was nominated as Euratex’s new president. He will begin his two-year term in January 2017.
After 37 years of service, Breege O’Donoghue is stepping down from her position as a Primark executive board member. She will continue to represent the company as an ambassador.
