Belgian-Italian designer Anthony Vaccarello is putting his brand on hold to focus on his new Saint Laurent role. Vaccarello was recently appointed as the French label’s creative director in April, where he succeeded former creative director, Hedi Slimane. Currently, Vaccarello is working on his debut collection for Saint Laurent, which will appear at Paris fashion week.

Haider Ackermann was hired as Berluti’s new creative director, effective immediately. In his new role, Ackermann will lead the design and development of his first collection for Paris Men’s Fashion Week in 2017. Ackermann brings over 20 years of experience in the fashion industry. He launched his own label in 2003 and attended the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp in 1994.

Cole Haan tapped former J. Crew senior vice president of women’s design Tom Mora as its new creative director of women’s and licensed product. Mora left J. Crew in June 2015, after holding various design leadership positions over 14 years. Mora’s resume also includes previous stints at Coach and Ralph Lauren.

Carolina Herrera

Amid fashion week preparations, design maven Carolina Herrera also appointed Raffaele Ilardo as her company’s new vice president of design. In his role, Ilardo will manage all design and creative development for the label’s bridal and ready-to-wear collections.
