After a robust 14-year tenure, Nicole Fischelis, Macy’s Inc.’s group VP, creative director and global forecaster is exiting the company. Fischelis joined the retailer in 2004 as VP and fashion director for ready-to-wear. During her time at Macy’s, Fischelis managed Macy’s fashion office, advised Macy’s top buyers on apparel trends and helped with the development of Macy’s designer capsule program. Her resume includes previous stints at Ferragamo and Saks.
Sebastian Suhl was hired as Valentino SpA’s new managing director of global markets, effective January. In his new role, Suhl will oversee the label’s global expansion initiatives. Suhl joins Valentino from Marc Jacobs International, where he served as the label’s CEO for the past three years. His resume includes previous stints at Givenchy and Prada.
RG Barry Brands
RG Barry Brands CEO and president Greg Tunney is leaving both roles to pursue other career interests. Tunney, who has held various leadership roles at the Ohio-based footwear company over the past 12 years, will continue serve as a senior adviser for RG Barry Brands’ board of directors. In December, Tunney will also take on additional responsibilities as Two Ten Footwear Foundation’s chairman.
Richemont promoted Jerome Lambert to the role of chief operating officer. Lambert, who previously served as Richemont’s head of operations, will be responsible for Richemont’s portfolio, excluding Cartier and Van Cleef & Arpels. In addition to his move, Cartier international sales director Emmanuel Perrin will take over as the head of specialist watchmakers distribution.
Michael Kors appointed Francesca Leoni as its new SVP and chief brand officer, effective Feb. 5. Leoni, who brings more than 20 years of fashion experience, currently serves as Valentino’s worldwide communications director. From 2005 to 2010, Leoni served as the worldwide public relations & events director of Bulgari. Leoni previously held other leadership roles at Hermès and Malo.
Isaia Corp named Simon Spurr as the new creative director of Italian menswear brands Eidos. Spurr, who is a well renowned British designer, has held previous leadership roles at Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren and Yves Saint Laurent.
Canada Goose named Rick Wood as its new chief commercial officer. In his new role, Wood will be responsible for the company’s global commercial operations and support the company’s international growth efforts. Wood joins Canada Goose from ArchPoint Consulting, where he served as the company’s executive director. His resume includes previous stints at JanSport, Reef, SmartWool, Timberland, The North Face, Vans and VF Corporation.
Under Armour appointed Ryan Drew as its new head of footwear. Drew previously served as the general manager of Under Armour’s basketball division. He succeeds Under Armour executive Peter Ruppe, who recently exited the company.
