British brands are finally having their moment on the West Coast.
Source British, the first trade show dedicated exclusively to British brands, will debut alongside other shows, including ALT and Curve, during L.A. Fashion Market at the California Market Center (CMC) on March 13 and 14. The show will feature U.K.-based accessories, apparel and home décor companies and act as an essential source for regional retail agents, buyers and distributers.
“Source British will join our established shows helping to further position the CMC as a prominent destination for premier fashion and lifestyle brands in Los Angeles,” CMC Tradeshow & Marketing SVP Joanne Lee said. “With Source British in Los Angeles, West Coast buyers are being offered the extraordinary opportunity to explore Britain’s top brands in one convenient LA Market trip.”
The show’s focus areas will highlight some of the U.K.’s most talented brands and foster a quintessential British experience for attendees. Featured brands of the fashion, footwear and accessories area include A Post Card from Brighton and Hedon, meanwhile the home, gift and craft area will display works from a variety of artisans, including Carola Van Dyke and Teddy Maximus. Trend forecasting sessions for the upcoming season along with curated designers, will be featured at the Trend Council pavilion and Trend Council Demonstration areas. Attendees may also visit the Sipsmith Gin Palace and a Tea Room for traditional British beverages and cuisine on both days.
Source British was established in 2016 and is backed by leading U.K.-based events company, Upper Street Events Ltd. Since 1987, Upper Street Events has created 17 major innovative style events annually and attracts more than 400,000 visitors each year.
“We are very excited to be bringing the U.S. our great brands from Great Britain,” Source British director Olivett Asare said. “Registered attendees of the Source British event will have access to exclusive British brands and an authentic British experience.”
