At least 11 people at a spinning mill in the Rupganj region of Bangladesh suffered burn injuries after a fire broke out Thursday.

Eight of the victims were rushed from the Narayanganj district Noab Ali Spinning Mill at Tatki Jatramura to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for treatment, according to United News of Bangladesh (UNB).

The fire reportedly erupted as a result of excess heat from machinery and quickly spread throughout the mill.

Fire fighting units were able to stop the blaze after one hour of “frantic efforts,” UNB reported, though some sustained burn injuries in trying to douse the flame.

Updates on the victims’ conditions or the extent of the damage to the factory have not yet been reported.
