A fire broke out in a textile mill in the Sohrab Goth Industrial Area of Karachi, Pakistan Saturday.

According to Pakistan’s The News, the blaze began at Al-Hadi Textile Mills in Gulshan-e-Maymar’s textile mills area around 7:55 pm and quickly spread throughout the mill, damaging millions of rupees worth of goods.

The fire is reported to have started because of short-circuiting.

The area was blocked off while firefighters rescued workers and ambulances tended to the victims. Karachi Municipality Corporation was on site and participated in extinguishing the blaze.
