A fire broke out in a textile mill in the Sohrab Goth Industrial Area of Karachi, Pakistan Saturday.
According to Pakistan’s The News, the blaze began at Al-Hadi Textile Mills in Gulshan-e-Maymar’s textile mills area around 7:55 pm and quickly spread throughout the mill, damaging millions of rupees worth of goods.
The fire is reported to have started because of short-circuiting.
The area was blocked off while firefighters rescued workers and ambulances tended to the victims. Karachi Municipality Corporation was on site and participated in extinguishing the blaze.
No further details on the damage has yet been provided.
