The handpicked, curated fashion that put Berlin-based retailer 14 oz. on the must-shop lists of sartorialists worldwide is now available online for European consumers. On Sept. 18, 14 oz. launched its first fully responsive ecommerce site with 25 key labels from the it’s unique portfolio, including Toyplane, East Harbour Surplus and Grenson Glab.
The site, designed by London-based agency Diligent, provides detailed product descriptions, as well as extensive product imagery, model shots and styled look. Products will ship from the company’s Berlin warehouse to all EU countries.
Karl-Heinz Müller, 14 oz. owner and founder of Bread & Butter, said, “Our international customer base grows steadily, which is why we had to take the next step in order to serve our customers’ needs.” Müller noted that in the past many exclusive items, like special Nigel Cabourn pieces, were in high demand from shoppers worldwide, but the ordering process required lengthy phone calls or email exchanges. “Now, our customer can easily order online in our beautifully designed online store,” he said.
Dana-Li Evers, who was assigned responsibility for the management of the 14 oz. online shop, added, “The most important part of building an online store for 14 oz. was to stay true to the stores’ identity and serve the idea of selling a unique assortment to a well-informed customer. We like see our new online store as a customer service extension to the brick and mortar stores for our customers outside of Berlin.”
