Cole Haan Opens First Innovation and Sports Lifestyle Design Center

Cole Haan, iconic footwear and accessories fashion label, announced Tuesday the opening of its Innovation & Sports Lifestyle Design Center, located at its global headquarters in Greenland, New Hampshire.

For the past two years, the brand has worked to reestablish its reputation for making high-quality dress footwear for men and women.

Jack Boys, CEO of Cole Haan, explained, “Cole Haan has been an innovator for 85 years. This has put us at the forefront of the footwear industry. With the opening of our Global Innovation Center, we elevated our commitment to bring creative disruption to the marketplace.”

The Global Innovation Center will allow the brand to quickly expand its offering of ZeroGrand products for men and women. It will also join with best-in-class partners and manufacturers to provide a collection of lifestyle products globally for the active consumer.

Since introducing ZeroGrand, a product that fuses innovation with craftsmanship as the lightest and most flexible shoe in Cole Haan’s history, the company has continued to revolutionize the footwear industry.

Grand.OS, a proprietary design platform that carries style, comfort, and functionality to Cole Haan products, is the building block of ZeroGrand. The technology focuses on weight reduction, flexibility and responsive cushioning, which together have put ZeroGrand at the top of the brand’s best seller list.

Scott Patt, a 20+ year design veteran of branded apparel and footwear, will be leading the Innovation Center’s vision team. Patt is an industry expert and innovator with achievements in fashion, athletic footwear and sportswear brands.
