Fuller-bust lingerie maker Curvy Kate is gearing up to launch Scantilly, a line of plus-size intimate apparel that’s both supportive and sexy.
“Primarily Scantilly was developed for pure indulgence, with the thought that the woman should complement the lingerie as much as the lingerie does the woman,” Head Designer Charlotte Davies said in a post on the new brand’s website. “The curves of the wearer are at the heart of the design process, with fit, quality and finish making the range so breathtakingly fresh.”
With cup sizes ranging from DD to HH, the line launches with three themed collections (each comprising one bra and several styles of bottoms) on October 15: Peek-A-Boo, a satin ensemble featuring “unapologetic” cut-outs; the leopard-print Pounce; and All Wrapped Up, a set with a removable sash. The line will be carried on ASOS, Simply Be, Very and figleaves.com and three more collections will follow Nov. 15.
“The Scantilly design team picks up inspiration from all around the world yet at the heart of each piece is the female silhouette, which we celebrate throughout the collection. The level of design and diversity for smaller cupped women is astounding, yet choices for a fuller bust still seem limited—especially in the luxury category,” Davies continued. “We wanted to offer women something to feel powerful and playful in, which also holds and embraces their divine shape.”
