10 Times Activism Trumped Fashion at NYFW

Forget activewear, activism was the single biggest trend at the Fall/Winter 2017 New York Fashion Week.

Designers, models and attendees showed their patriotism, feminism and humanitarianism on the runways, backstage and on social media. While most steered clear of any direct references to the current administration, there’s no question they were fueled by a need to express their feelings either against recent government actions or for organizations and individuals they felt have been unfairly targeted.
