DyStar, a leading provider of products for the textile and leather industry, announced Tuesday that it has developed new shades of blue denim. The new shades have all been made based on the company’s patented Indigo Vat 40 percent Solution, which allows for a cleaner indigo dyeing process and reduces the use of Sodium Hydrosulfite by 60 to 70 percent.
The company is celebrating a “Festival of Blue” to mark the launch of the new shades, which include Sky Blue, Ever Blue, Full Blue and Deep Blue. Sky Blue is a bright blue with a clear look. Ever Blue is made in a process of ring dyeing, which keeps the jeans from fading after washes. Full Blue is made with core dyeing and makes the jeans appear bluish, and Deep Blue is the darkest shade and most resistant to fading.
Naceur Azraq, global technical manager of Denim at DyStar, said, “We don’t only want to provide the best product, we also want to be an inspiration for denim fashion by launching these fresh new blues.”
Thorsten Hüls, head of marketing and sales, denim, added, “With these new developments, the DyStar denim team continues the way to offer the best and most innovative solutions to our Indigo Solution customers.”
