Spyder Inks New Deal to Improve Performance Apparel

Spyder and The South Florida Accelerator (TSFA) are working together to improve performance apparel.

The international performance apparel brand formed a strategic partnership Tuesday with TSFA. Under the agreement, Spyder, TSFA and development partner Dr. Terry Lyles will develop a performance management “semi-stealth” project.

“TSFA and development partner Dr. Terry Lyles have collaborated with us to develop a personal performance management system that is ‘best in class’ and aligns with our heritage of innovation and technology, maintaining our belief that everyone has unlimited potential,” Spyder vice president of marketing Brady Collings said. “Our collaboration is unparalleled in the industry.”

As a regional start-up innovation accelerator based in Florida, TSFA provides start-ups the ability to establish intellectual property that can be transitioned to commercial viability. As the state’s first “Off-Ramp” technology accelerator, the accelerator advances the commercialization of new technologies and boosts the commercial viability of intellectual property while matching human capital to new innovations.

“Spyder is an innovative, forward thinking organization,” said Christopher Malter, managing director of TSFA. “Boulder, Colorado, and South Florida are tech hubs for innovation and exchange of ideas and we look forward to collaborating on the release of a high performance product in the very near future. The product will redefine the narrative for many sports and the way an audience experiences live competition.”
