Cotton Incorporated Debuts New Digital Resource Hub for Textile Industry

Cotton Incorporated has launched an updated online destination for all things cotton—enabling industry members to have instant access to the raw material’s facts, figures and forecasts.

On Thursday, Cotton Incorporated debuted CottonWorks, a new website that provides assistance and leading-edge information to textile professionals involved in the cotton business. Managed by Cotton Incorporated and established by the Cotton Board Importer Support Program (ISP), the website is a replacement for the Cotton University website.

CottonWorks features streamlined navigation and robust content about the cotton industry—including responsible cotton manufacturing, the art of dyeing and advanced quality assurance performance. The site, which has more than 23,000 users, aims to be a leading cotton resource for designers, companies and sourcing professionals worldwide.

“If you work with cotton – in any capacity – you need to go to It’s all there: product and fabric ideas, trend insights, technical assistance, innovation and marketing,” said Mark Messura, senior vice president of global supply chain marketing at Cotton Incorporated. “You can access all the elements you need to bring better cotton products to market faster and more profitably.”

The new site covers a broader range of cotton topics, including denim, knits, wovens and nonwovens. When users register, they can access exclusive features, including the Textile Encyclopedia, the Defects Glossary and cotton sourcing webinars. On the site, qualified industry professionals can sign up for more than 50-real life educational workshops offered as part of the Cotton Board ISP. For a more personalized experience, users can also create, share and save lists of cotton content that match their operational needs.

Users already registered with Cotton University will not have to change their login credentials for CottonWorks. To learn more about the resources on the site, Cotton Incorporated provides an informational brochure and tutorial video, which can be accessed without logging in.
