Spandex giant Hyosung is stretching the reach of its creora brand with new production and research. The Korean manufacturer is adding capacity in China and Vietnam to meet consumer demand, and opening a new development facility to test out its fabrics.
The technologies are continuously being updated and often inspired by trends. To find out what’s in store for the coming seasons, Hyosung offered some of its activewear philosophy.
Interaction between the body and the fabric is the first inspiration. The company elaborated, “High compression with creora Power Fit for anatomical support features for protection, embracing the body and connecting with the movement. Perfect surfaces allow for a new direction in optically appealing tone-on-tone prints, while the perfectly geometrical textures correspond with the body in enhancing performance.”
A second and essential trend is truth; instinctively organic, natural, and synthetic yarns that generate a natural feel to the touch. Creora eco-soft reduces energy usage while creora color and dyeable spandex allows “stretch without grin.” It is ideal for calmer sports such as yoga for its smooth, calm, and “truthful” facets.
The colors in creora offer the next trend, which is charged. The bright and energetic prints and patterns push the envelope on innovative when combines with the lightweight fit. The company furthered, “This isn’t just about pushing the workout zone it is also about pushing boundaries, not playing by the rules but still achieving success.”
The last trend, phantasm, contributes to the illusive part of activewear that focuses on the pro and semi pro demographic. The fabrics are micro fine and weightless, but appear deceitful with the intense power of creora Power fit. Polypropylene fabrics with creora eco-soft make the blends almost futuristic, while luminosity also affects the surface of the fabric making it look more calendared.
