Livinguard, a Swiss specialist in self-disinfecting hygiene technology, has introduced an apparel line of permanent self-disinfecting scrubs, underscrubs and lab coats utilizing its Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)-registered bacteria-killing fabric.
Livinguard scrubs are also for hypoallergenic skin sensitivities and are wash durable to maintain performance. Livinguard EPA registration was announced earlier this year with a goal to transform categories.
“This EPA certification is confirmation of Livinguard’s patented and break-through invention, creating a new self-disinfecting-textile category, whereby the textile kills bacteria on contact, is washable and reusable,” said Sanjeev Swamy, Livinguard’s founder and CEO. “Unlocking the limitless possibilities of permanent hygiene and proactively improving the health and safety of the public is at the heart of Livinguard’s mission. We can now have self-disinfecting airplane seats, hospital & hotel linens, sports apparel, medical scrubs, footwear, uniforms and carpeting.”
Livinguard scrubs come in a wide range of sizes and colors and have numerous pockets for medical tools, equipment and personal items.
“We are excited to quickly deploy our bacteria-killing technology and launch the most advanced scrubs available to healthcare workers,” Swamy said. “Livinguard scrubs will play an important role in controlling and reducing bacteria levels in health care settings. We are thrilled at the opportunity to partner with clinics, hospital systems, medical associations, and companies committed to employing the highest hygienic standards for the greater well-being of their employees, their patients and their customers.”
Livinguard has also incorporated antimicrobial technology in a line of face masks that can be worn up to 210 times and a line of gloves that can be worn up to 30 times with no compromise on safety or efficacy. Worn together, the two provide peace of mind for those seeking protection against airborne viruses and those transmitted on surfaces.
Livinguard licenses its patented technologies to companies in a variety of industries with the goal of improving the health and well-being of end-users. Livinguard AG is based in Switzerland and distributes its products worldwide, with subsidiaries in the U.S., Germany, Singapore, Japan, India, and South Africa.
