Elevated basics brand Numi has launched a Sustainable Silk line, including a button-up, short-sleeve blouse, reversible tank top and classic cami.
Using functional materials, Numi’s Sustainable Silk is made in Canada with fabrics imported from Italy. The collection incorporates a blend of 29 percent silk and 69 percent Naia, a sustainable cellulosic yarn made from pine and eucalyptus trees.
U.S.-based Eastman’s Naia offers a sustainable fiber choice for women’s wear fabrics. Its cellulosic fiber is made with sustainably sourced wood pulp, is fully traceable, certified biodegradable and produced in a closed-loop process where solvents are recycled back into the process for reuse.
The silk tops are treated with Bluesign-compliant stain-repellent technology, making them stain-resistant and machine washable.

The collection comes in black, blue, blush and white. The collection ranges in price from $100 to $190 and is available on Numi’s e-commerce site.
Toronto-based Numi is a line of basics born out of necessity and includes consciously created products. The current collection includes high-performance, sweat-proof undershirts in three different shades of nude. It is made with “Contemporary Cotton,” a high-performance fabric that moves moisture away from the body and washes clean of odors, combining absorbent and repellent cotton yarns.
Each Essential Undershirt is enhanced with a Contemporary Cotton gusset in the underarm that gives extra sweat protection.
