Fast fashion retailer Forever 21 has plans to open 50 new stores across Europe over the next three years, including in France, Germany, Portugal, The Netherlands, Italy, Poland, the Czech Republic and new locations in the U.K.
According to the U.K. Retail Gazette, the stores are expected to be 16,000 to 21,500 square feet in size and located in prime high street positions.
Forever 21, which made its E.U. debut in 2011, announced in November that it would expand its presence in the Netherlands with a new 215,000 square-foot European Distribution Center to serve the region. The retailer had previously rented an 84,000 square-foot commercial space, but decided to expand in response to rapid growth.
This latest expansion effort is part of the company’s goal to reach $8 billion in revenue within the next two years, according to Retail Gazette, nearly double its revenue as of Oct. 2014, which was reportedly $3.85 billion.
The company currently operates more than 630 stores globally, including in the U.S., Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Israel, Japan, Korea, Latin America, Mexico, Philippines and the U.K.
