Swedish fast fashion clothier Hennes & Mauritz (H&M) said Monday its total sales for January including value added tax were up 15 percent compared to the same time last year. The increase was right in line with projections outlined in the company’s fourth quarter report.

As of January 31, the retailer’s total store count amounted to 3,184 compared to 2,808 at the end of January 2012.

H&M said it will publish percentage sales for February and total first quarter (December to February) sales on March 17 and the company’s full three-month report will be published March 27.
