New York fans of Lou & Grey can now find the line outside of Loft stores.
The comfy clothing brand, which evolved from Loft’s lounge collection, is opening its first New York City store in the Flatiron District. The new location will showcase Lou & Grey’s fall Signaturesoft collection, feature third-party collaborations and the brand’s first in-house design studio.
“Our team curated a mix of apparel and third-party partnerships that reflect the brand’s sensibility while capturing the energy and spirit of New York,” said Ann Inc. CEO Gary Muto. “We are excited to introduce the Lou & Grey brand experience in our hometown and believe our product assortment is in sync with the way women are dressing today.”
With its laid-back apparel, Lou & Grey’s merchandise reflects the athleisure lifestyle of modern New York women. The new Signaturesoft collection has wardrobe staples such as cocoon cardigans and easy swing dresses that transition looks from work to weekend. In addition to Lou & Grey’s comfy clothing assortment, third-party collaborations, including one with skincare retailer Cap Beauty, will be at the new store as well.
The boutique’s soft and clean interior features marble tables, lounge seating areas, a hand-painted mural by New York-based artist Caroline Z. Hurley and plants from The Sill. A creative space for Lou & Grey’s design team will also be at this location, where they will work on future collections.
“It’s a place to relax and slow down within this frenetic, amazing city,” Lou & Grey executive creative director Austyn Zung said. “And with our design studio right in the store, we are happy to be settling in.”
The first standalone Lou & Grey store opened in 2014.
