
Ross Stores has appointed a new president and chief merchandising officer to its DD’s Discounts nameplate. Beginning Dec. 7, Brian Morrow will take the title and the responsibility of directing all facets of merchandising at the chain.
Barbara Rentler, CEO of the Dublin, California-based company said, “We are delighted to have Brian join our senior management team. We are confident that his proven business acumen and broad-based merchandising management experience will be valuable resources in driving the successful long-term growth of DD’s Discounts.”
Having earned a degree from the College of Business Administration at California State University, Long Beach, Morrow has more than 30 years of experience in merchandising management. He has been involved at big-name companies including Macy’s West, Macy’s North-Marshall Field’s and Mervyn’s.
In 2010, he started work at Stein Mart as executive vice president-chief merchandising officer. He was promoted in April 2014 to president and was responsible for directing the company’s buying, marketing, e-commerce initiatives and more.
