Italian synthetic fiber producer Fulgar released a new product.
Meet Q-Nova mélange recycled, a yarn created by blending Q-Nova, a nylon 6.6 fiber formed from regenerated raw materials, with polyester made from recycled plastic bottles.
Fulgar’s Jespé and Pulsar effects now have the ability to create multi-color fabrics with a single controlled dyeing stage, yielding two different Q-Nova mélange yarn varieties. The Jespé feature is regular and short, meanwhile the Pulsar feature has a more pronounced shot effect. Using a neutral base, both yarns develop bi-color effects. Apparel items created from Q-Nova mélange also retain the original virgin polyamide color, since the yarn is developed with a special dyeing technique.
Breathability and easy care are two features of Q-Nova mélange. When incorporated into clothing, Q-Nova mélange maintains good moisture control and keeps the skin dry. Garments made with Q-Nova mélange also dry quickly and don’t need to be ironed.
Fulgar’s new yarn also received the Oeko-Tex Standard 100 Certification, which ensures Q-Nova mélange is safe enough to use in baby clothes and that the yarn complies with industry-wide human-ecological requirements.
