Bamboo Rose Enhancement Pulls ‘3D Data into the Tech Pack’

Bamboo Rose is the latest industry software player to bet big on 3D.

The supply chain platform provider debuted smart connectors that pull 3D assets from material digitization firm Vizoo and 3D design software firm Browzwear into its solution. Centric Software recently announced similar capabilities for its PLM product, pointing to the growing importance of 3D design and product development within apparel and footwear workflows and operations.

“We are excited to offer this new smart connector for 3D assets to our customers using Vizoo and Browzwear,” Bamboo Rose chief technology officer Kamal Anand said in a statement.

“Clients can now automatically bring valuable 3D data into the tech pack or materials library in Bamboo Rose by leveraging a simple drag and drop interface—supporting deeper collaboration on 3D files,” Anand said, “reducing administrative time, improving data quality, and protecting valuable IP.”

Bamboo Rose claims the integration of 3D assets into its platform will help apparel and footwear clients boost their efficiency and minimize the numbers of errors stemming from manual input. It will also help users assess their materials more quickly and foster a “deeper collaboration with suppliers on samples in a virtual environment,” the company said.

Bamboo Rose’s platform aims to streamline the product creation and delivery process for 250,000 users, 400 brands, and 35,000 suppliers and service providers by providing a one-stop digital marketplace with PLM, sourcing, purchase order management, global trade management, and financing solutions, backed by intelligent engines for scheduling, costing and optimization.
