Best Pacific and Hyosung are bringing cutting-edge fabrics to Outdoor Retailer’s annual show.

The companies formed a strategic partnership to offer activewear brands and retailers an advanced apparel concept. As consumers continue to demand high performance garments, Best Pacific and Hyosung’s fabrics will incorporate moisture management, UV protection, free range of movement and odor neutralizing technologies into sports clothing.

“Consumers want versatility in their garments and want to be able to work out, stop at the grocery store, or run an errand all with comfort and confidence,” Hyosung Textiles global marketing director Ria Stern said. She added, “We worked with Best Pacific to develop this collection of fabrics in various weights to go from performance underwear, sports bras, base layer applications.”

With a focus in knitwear, Best Pacific blended together Hyosung’s apparel technologies to create advanced fabrics. Mipan Aqua x, a cooling, UV and moisture management nylon, was mixed with Creora Fresh spandex odor neutralizing elastane for warm weather temperature stabilization. Creora Fresh elastane was also blended with Freshgear odor neutralizing polyester to keep spandex fresh during extreme sports activities. For cold weather activewear, Aerowarm was combined with Creora Powerfit elastane to sustain warmth without weighing down the body.

Best Pacific and Hyosung will launch the new fabrics at Outdoor Retailer Show, which will take place in Salt Lake City from Jan. 10 to Jan. 12.
