Lectra Nabs Highest Score in WhichPLM Evaluation

Lectra is taking over the industry with its updated PLM solution.

The technology solutions provider achieved the highest score in the WhichPLM benchmark study for its newest version of Lectra Fashion PLM. The platform scored at or above the industry average in all of WhichPLM’s categories and to-date is the number one PLM solutions provider in the industry.

“With the creation of tools that support the real business of fashion, and the extension of the solution’s footprint, we are extending our recommendation of Lectra to be shortlisted by any fashion and apparel brand, retailer or manufacturer—of any size and geographical spread,” said Mark Harrop, CEO and founder of WhichPLM, a digital magazine dedicated to product development for the fashion industry.

Lectra Fashion PLM heightens visibility over collection development processes and it also assists companies in making sustainable decisions before production. WhichPLM highlighted the platform’s additions, including the Material Forecast module and other functional areas of improvement.

Non-technical PLM users are seamlessly provided scientific material evidence with the Material Forecast module. The new module makes the material consumption process highly transparent at the early stages of product development. On average, materials take up 75 percent of product costs and Lectra Fashion PLM streamlines this process by providing digestible material data.

Lectra was also recognized for its latest PLM improvements. Compared to 2015’s evaluation, Lectra Fashion PLM improved its auditing & compliance, color integration, creative design (CAM), material development, mobile applications and supplier management capabilities. WhichPLM endorsed Lectra Fashion PLM’s Illustrator integration, which fosters third-party application connections and desktop solutions.
