Theatro—a leader in the IoT sector—is being recognized for improving retail associate communications and heightening consumer retail experiences.
On Wednesday, the IoT Breakthrough Awards named the technology company as its IoT Connected Retail Application of the Year in the Industrial and Enterprise IoT category. The awards, which honor companies and products for their “breakthrough” connected technologies, aim to help other sectors, including retail, harness the power of IoT to ramp up their operations. With the award, Theatro aims to disrupt the retail industry with its advanced technology—enabling brands to stay agile and sustain consumer interest in a digital landscape.
Theatro’s IoT platform bridges the gap between retail associates and the retail enterprise system, allowing store employees to focus more on consumers. Using the Theatro Communicator—an enterprise IoT mobile end point device that uses voice-controlled AI interface—retail associates can call for backup, communicate with other team members, find a manager or check inventory for product information. Unlike other devices, Theatro’s solution seamlessly enables retail associates to complete other tasks while helping consumers in stores. Theatro’s research says on average, retailers have experienced 77 percent faster sales associate response times and 12 percent savings in time using Theatro’s solutions. What’s more, 91 percent of sales associates said that Theatro’s solutions have enabled them to better serve consumers.
The IoT Breakthrough Awards isn’t the first major recognition for Theatro. Last November, Theatro and other retail technology companies were highlighted by Startup 50, a technology startup tracker founded by entrepreneur Jeff Vance. Theatro was among the six startups selected to watch for 2018, since it’s IoT solutions provided an advanced solution for retail associate productivity. IoT-powered solutions, including Theatro’s, may help brands combat retail’s uncertainty, by seamlessly integrating operations and creating a hassle-free purchasing journey for brick-and-mortar consumers.
