Archroma and Carlin are sharing a booth at Premiere Vision Paris this year, and you can expect it to be decorated colorfully.
Color and specialty chemical supplier Archroma and trend forecasting firm Carlin will dedicate their joint booth to color creativity and innovation, per a joint release from the companies. Visitors will be able to enjoy a full consultation on color trends, inspiration, and implementation, from mood boards to production.
Carlin will present its trend book for the Fall-Winter 2021 at the shared booth, including Impulse FW2021, which encompasses four main themes: Insolence, Tech-Care, Land and Alpha. The theme colors for Insolence—bold red, blue and green colors—are the inspiration behind the shared booth.
Each section in the trend book will feature a detailed macrosocial breakdown, as well as creative leads specific to each theme. The booth will also hold a series of short presentations on color trends, and give visitors a chance to use Archroma’s Trending Now booklet to see what colors are currently leading in the textile industry.
Carlin’s Land theme is a focus on natural materials and ethical sourcing. The trend book will feature Archroma’s color innovations in aniline-free Denisol Pure Indigo denim dyes and traceable EarthColors dyes made from agricultural waste.
“We are amazed to see how Carlin’s forecasts and Archroma’s color solutions are in total synergy,” Chris Hipps, global director of Archroma Color Management Services, said in a statement. “Carlin nurtures the creativity of designers and stylists with color inspiration and insights. We at Archroma offer creatives a vast selection of colors that can be used for the production of textiles and garments in the Archroma Way: safe, efficient and enhanced.”
Edouard Keller, head of international sales at Carlin, said, “Our Carlin x Archroma collaboration is unique in that it allows the color dreams of designers and stylists to come to life uncompromised.”
Archroma and Carlin began their partnership in July 2018. Carlin uses color references from Archroma’s proprietary color matching reference tool, Color Atlas, for its workshops in France, as well as in its 20 yearly publications. Color Atlas by Archroma launched online in 2016 as a trove of inspiration for designers and stylists that they can use to bring their visions to life quickly and efficiently.
Premiere Vision Paris takes place Feb. 12-14, and Archroma and Carlin will be holding trend sneak previews once each day.
