Apparel Textile Sourcing Miami Revises Dates to Coincide with Miami Fashion Week

In the midst of New York Fashion Week, leaders at the Apparel Textile Sourcing Miami (ATSM) show have announced that this year’s event will be held one week later than originally planned. The new dates, May 28-30, will coincide with Miami Fashion Week.

ATSM made its debut in 2018, and in its sophomore year, the event will double in size, with an expected 12,000 industry professionals coming to South Florida while the show takes place.

“It’s very exciting and fitting that Miami, once again, was selected to host this major trade show for the apparel, textile and fashion industries,” said David Hart, executive vice president of the Florida Chamber of Commerce. “We are so pleased that JP Communications is bringing the show to Miami for the second time and look forward to all the economic benefits that it will create.”

This year’s ATSM will introduce a range of new sections, including machine demonstrations, a technical textiles section and a footwear sourcing pavilion. The event will host a number of apparel industry professionals, from buyers and sellers to supply chain executives, from the U.S. and Latin America.

There will be a special focus on how advancements in manufacturing grant microbrands the chance to add more design seasons to their collections and welcome new designers into the market. ATSM 2019 will examine the future of retail through the lens of microbrands and their influence on fashion’s transactional infrastructure, from raw materials to retail.

This year’s ATSM attendees will also be able to meet near-sourcing Latin American suppliers on the show floor next to the new U.S. producers and providers pavilion. The pavilion will feature more than 15 exhibits for those sourcing from domestic producers.

Miami Fashion Week has a special focus on resort cruise collections and furthering the reach of Miami’s art and design community. This year, fashion week runs from May 29 to June 2, and the Miami Fashion Week Summit will also run from May 30 to June 1, 2019.
